THE UNORTHODOX BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY OF THE VORTEX
We opened a bar because we wanted to have some fun hanging out with friends, enjoying a cocktail or an icy-cold beer, stuffing our faces with big, juicy burgers, laughing, joking, and just enjoying our lives. We created The Vortex as a hang-out for ourselves. It’s the kind of bar we would frequent, even if we didn’t own it. Casual, fun and politically incorrect.
To make sure we would always have a good time at work, we established a set of House Rules very early on, and printed them on the cover of our menu. Our loyal patrons love the no-nonsense approach to business these policies represent, and people who are offended by them tend to be the high-maintenance, self-absorbed idiots we prefer did not patronize our establishment. We believe our policies represent simple, common sense and help us reinforce the idea of mutual respect, assuring everyone, both staff and patrons, will enjoy their time at The Vortex.
We continue to offer our guests a lively atmosphere, award-winning food (including the Best Burger in Atlanta) and an extensive selection of booze, all served by a genuinely fun, friendly and professional staff. We remain committed to using the highest quality ingredients available, yet we always strive to keep our prices fair. We’re not out to gouge anyone.
While we are always working to improve our operation, we understand that you can’t please all of the people all of the time. It’s only natural that some people will like what we offer at The Vortex, and others will not. We have never tried to be all things to all people. We just do what we do.
Our unique business philosophy has helped us develop a remarkably diverse customer base of really awesome regulars. From bankers to bikers, our loyal patrons defy categorization, except maybe to say that they’re all cool. We really enjoy hanging out with them. They “get” us. They appreciate The Vortex for what it actually is - not what they think it should be. These wonderful souls have made our success possible over the years, and we sincerely thank them for their continued support. It’s all about the love, people.
